The bust of Lord Frederick Cavendish, son of the 7th Duke of Devonshire, in the entrance lobby of the Town Hall. He was sent out as Chief Secretary for Ireland and murdered within twelve hours of his landing in Dublin on May 6th 1882. Such was his popularity that the tenants of the Duke of Devonshire at that time subscribed to erect the clock on the Town Hall.

Some of the 'Art Deco' tiles on one of the shops in Cavendish Circus. This building was designed by Robert Ripon Duke in 1881 as the town's Post Office, as can be seen from the lettering carved into the stonework above. The Post Office had separate entrances for different purchases, which were converted to shops in 1905 when the Post Office moved across the road to The Quadrant.

Buxton's coat of arms as seen on one of the lamp posts in the Pavilion Gardens. The town's seal was designed by Robert Rippon Duke in 1894 and took the form of a buck standing on a rock to signify 'Buckstone'.
