Market Place Well and Market Cross.
The drinking fountain or well head is early 19th century.
The Market Cross dates from the 15th century and was moved from its former position
at Cockerd (off Palace Road) to the centre of the Market Place,
in line with the front of the Town Hall (qv), when the Market Charter was granted.
Moved to its present location when the Market Place was a bus station.
